In-game advertising firm Gadsme opens first US office

Dec 4, 2024

In-game advertising platform Gadsme has opened its first US office in New York. The expansion will be headed up by the company’s new US VP Don Reilley, who has been tasked with building out the office and supporting all aspects of the business. He previously worked as EVP of publisher development at Scuti and has held positions at the likes of EA, Microsoft, Major League Gaming and more. As well as opening a new US branch, Gadsme has made a number of other hires to support its European operations. That includes the recruitment of ex-Frameplay MD, international Hugh Ritzema-Carter as VP of demand for EMEA and former Bidstack global sales director Matthew Blackholler as head of demand. Meanwhile, Zoe Shand has joined as ad operations manager, leveraging her data analytics background to optimise campaigns, and Lewis Buck has been hired as senior advertising manager at the firm. Expansion plans Gadsme said it has partnered with studios like Ubisoft, Gameloft, and Wildlife Studios to bring in-game ads to over 1,500 games to date. The company recently announced a new native SDK that provides developers with access to in-games across all game engines, “We remain laser focussed on our vision and strategy - to offer innovation, stability, transparency and results. This really is our mantra," Gadsme chief revenue officer Simon Spaull told PocketGamer.biz. “From inception, we did a tonne of research and vowed to bring something different to the market. There was no point in being just another in-game ads (IGA) provider. Our product had to be advanced. It had to be fit for purpose. “It had to offer something unique, but above all, it had to be stable and deliver results. It’s still early days, but we’ve had another fantastic year, surpassing all targets set with our shareholders and the business continues to grow MoM. “Because of this, we knew now was the perfect time to launch in the US market and seize the opportunity to continue momentum. We also identified key talent within the industry, and after a few conversations, they soon realised Gadsme could offer them something special too. “I’m thrilled we have been able to attract such talent from the industry. Naturally, I’m very excited about our future, but more importantly, what we can continue to do to help our partners across all aspects of our business. Again, there’s a lot of work still left to do, but we get super excited when we’re helping grow revenues for game studios and delivering impactful KPIs to advertisers.”
