Surgical tech company Elucent Medical secures $30M

WHAT IT DOES Elucent Medical's flagship product EnVisio System utilizes a spatial field generator measuring continuous data points across multiple planes to display exact 3D positioning of the SmartClip marker and SmartSensor that is used to guide soft-tissue surgical excision. Elucent will use the funds to scale operations and expand its innovation and commercialization initiatives. "Our EnVisio System gives surgeons confidence before, during and after their surgical procedures so they know they have delivered unparalleled accuracy and precision for their patients," Jason Pesterfield, CEO of Elucent, said in a statement. "We are in scale mode and are excited to partner with Trinity Capital. Trinity Capital's investment will be key to our continued acceleration of our innovation and commercialization efforts." MARKET SNAPSHOT Elucent president and CEO Jason Pesterfield, told MobiHealthNews that the company raised $44 million in a Series C funding round in early 2024.
