Kurly, a prominent online retailer in South Korea, kicked off its gourmet festival, Kurly Food Festa 2024, on Dec. 19 at COEX in Seoul and Magok Le West. The event, themed Kurly Christmas for Everyone, is set to run for four days until Dec. 22, featuring Kurly's own brand alongside 128 partner companies, with approximately 230 food and beverage brands participating. This year's festival is expected to attract around 30,000 visitors, doubling the scale of last year's inaugural event, which saw a cumulative 20,000 attendees. The Kurly Food Festa, now in its second edition, is an offline gourmet event created by Kurly to allow customers to experience their unique tastes in person. Last year's success has led to an increase in participating brands and a more extensive array of offerings this year. The event showcases a wide range of products, from main dishes to fresh produce, desserts, beverages, and health foods. One of the highlights of the festival is the introduction of new products by participating brands. CJ CheilJedang, a major player in the South Korean food industry, unveiled new items from the 'Jeilmat Kurly line, co-planned with Kurly. This collaboration leverages CJ CheilJedang's manufacturing capabilities and Kurly's planning expertise to create unique products. Additionally, HBAF (Honey Butter Almond & Friends), a company specializing in nuts, launched new products for the first time at the event. The Kurly Brand Zone also drew significant attention, featuring various Christmas desserts from around the world. Visitors had the opportunity to taste traditional treats such as Stollen from Germany, Panettone and Pandoro from Italy, and Bûche de Noël from France. Kurly Egg Farm, known for its rare items like Cheongran and Gu Eomdak eggs, also made an appearance, allowing customers to purchase these exclusive products offline. Choi Jae-hoon, Kurly's chief commerce officer, emphasized the meticulous planning that went into the event. "Kurly Food Festa was meticulously planned to allow customers to experience their unique tastes offline as well. We hope you create abundant memories with family, lovers, and friends at this year-end festival created by Kurly and 128 partner companies," he stated.
