ID.me’s next-generation product is designed to verify Pistons fans who purchase season tickets and join the Pistons Rewards Program actually get their tickets. In turn, military members, nurses, teachers, and other community members will have secure, frictionless access to exclusive Pistons offers through their ID.me wallet. The new partnership seeks to stop bots, brokers, and fraudsters from purchasing tickets meant for Pistons fans. First-time ID.me users can verify their identity in minutes to sign up for their ID.me wallet, then use their ID.me credentials to access Pistons tickets and other offers on a repeated basis. “ID.me is thrilled to help Detroit Pistons fans access tickets and special offers in a more secure, frictionless way,” says Taylor Liggett, chief growth officer at ID.me. ”Fraudsters, bots, and brokers increasingly use sophisticated technologies to try to buy up tickets intended for real fans.
